How To Change The Font In Your Instagram Bio
How do you change the font in your Instagram bio? I thought Iβd share the answer with you, and guess what, these Instagram fonts are free!
Fonts for Instagram, whether for your Instagram bio or your Instagram name are easy to find. I wanted to know how to change fonts on Instagram as I had seen other Instagram profiles and Twitter accounts where people would have their name in a unique font and I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to do it. So I started googling away and there it was, right in front of me. So many websites where you can change text to different fonts for your Instagram or Twitter social media profile! You don’t need to download an App at all. Read on to find out how to change Instagram fonts.

How To Change The Font In Your Instagram Bio
Follow these steps to change the font in your Instagram bio:
- First you will need to go to a text generator website such as Lingo Jam.
- Type the text you want to change in the first box. Lingo Jam will show you all the possible font options in the right box.
- Highlight the text you like most and copy.
- Go to your Instagram profile, click the 3 dots top right, then go to Edit Profile. Paste your new text into the βNameβ field, or into the βBioβ section. Easy!

The font I like most is about the 7th option down in their list, which is like a cursive script font but the letters donβt join up. It still looks really pretty though, especially the capital letters.

Use a different font sparingly. If you create your entire bio in one of the fonts above, it will become quite difficult to read. Choose what word/s you want to highlight, whether it be your name, a word or a quote.

Creating Your Instagram Bio
I always create my Instagram bio in the Notes app on my phone, as you can add spaces and paragraphs, which when copied and pasted into Instagram will stay in place. If you try adding new paragraphs or starting on a new line while typing out your bio directly in Instagram, it wonβt work.
Depending on what type of Instagrammer you are, I think for bloggers itβs a good idea to have your location. That way, if a brand or PR lands on your page, they know which country youβre in and if youβll be relevant to the brands they represent.
Add a few of your interests in there or what you do for work so people can see what your profile is about and what type of people youβre looking to connect with. Use emojis to split up the writing!
And lastly, make sure your fill in the URL field with the website you want your visitors to land on. You can add a link to:
- Your blog
- Another social media profile (eg. Twitter, Facebook)
- The latest video on your Youtube Channel
- Your online store or Etsy shop
Adding A Text Symbol
If you want to add something interesting to your name or bio and youβve had enough of emojis, try a text symbol instead! Use this site to copy what you need and paste into your profile. I found the outline of a heart to place next to my name which I think looks really nice.
There are so many to choose from! Stars, hearts, music notes, arrows, even a crown! β
Change Your Instagram Highlight Covers
The next thing you might like to do to your Instagram is change your highlight covers to add some style to your page. Find out how to change Instagram highlight covers.

hi there! iβve been using that site as well to spruce up my captions & bio. however, a friend of mine from france showed me how it looks on their app & it just shows xβs instead of the letters. any idea why that might be? i was soulset to learn that! :β(
Hi, it can be a number of reasons. Either they have a device that doesn’t show the characters (older phone?) or haven’t updated the app. If you go to your instagram URL on a computer and it shows the characters correctly, then it’s fine π
Perfect!! Thank you <3
